Looking more insights on knowledge centered support
My first introduction to KM was in my last year of Engineering days. It was kick started on theoretical ground as an academic project in Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. where we happen to build KM with Complaint Management System. I was waiting for my final year of engineering results and to utilize my holiday breaks, I decided to join as summer trainee in Tata Steel Jamshedpur. It was here that boosted my interest in the filed and witnessed the pragmatic approach of KM.
During my MBA tenure the journey was still more interesting as the time made me closer to KM when I was invited to give a KM experience sharing sessions to Tata Motors and Tata Johnson Controls Management team in Pune. It was the period where I was fortunate to attend National and International Conferences on KM and present the papers.
KM experience in IT firm was fulfilled in Genpact Software CoE (formerly GE Captial) where we started building KM system and deploy the framework. During this period, It was enriching experience to contribute in a KM Book “Knowledge at Work” which got published in the same year 2005. After completing my internship, I joined Genpact as Management Trainee and was promoted as Associate Consultant to drive KM. It was fruitful experience to learn all aspects of People, Process, and Technology pillars of KM. This also fetched me the Quality Gold Award for KM initiate in the CoE.
I joined PricewaterhouseCoopers for KM and Management Consulting professional experience that had involved some different but very valuable experience of Presales, research and exclusive KM consulting experiences with the clients.
Currently I am working with IBM and responsible for KM, Innovation and Delivery Excellence activities.
So far have worked on KM Strategy, Innovation Culture, boosting the Knowledge Sharing and archival, KM framework, building KM culture, Communication & branding, CoP, ECM deployments, Web 2.0, Change Management, KCS, KM Metrics, Co-creation etc.
And the journey continues…
